Random Thoughts from the Day

1) I’m an eejit when it comes to technology. I decided not to upload any footage from the Cocker Spaniels’ most recent show because the room was too dark, and my camera was positioned too far away to capture the band visually. If I’d bothered to read the manual, though, I’d have known that the camera has a built-in light that would’ve illuminated the room a bit. *sighs* I’ll remember that when we play our next show. Don’t worry: Sunday’s show basically sounded like the rehearsal videos, but with much louder vocals.

2) The weather in Austin today was overcast until I left the office; the sun shined brightly during my commute home.  Is that some kind of sign?

3) Right now, the conversations I observe on Tumblr are way more interesting than those I observe on Twitter or Facebook.  This is definitely a change from the norm.

4) I’ve decided that this is the weekend I’m gonna get my ‘fro trimmed.  I’m only gonna trim an inch or two, but that’ll be enough to keep my ends healthy.  I’ll have to invest in a blowdryer first, though, so that I can painlessly comb the ‘fro out.  Otherwise, any local barber I patronize will either give me a lopsided cut (read: the non-Black barbers) or charge me an exorbitant markup (read: the Black barbers).
